Wow, the Unitarian Universalist Associations 2025 General Assembly is right around the corner! I am happy to serve as a delegate for my home congregation - Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church.
2025 also marks the 4th year in which I’ve presented or been a part of a learning session at General Assembly. This year is different though!
Since January, I have been serving as the Strategic Advisor to the very new, UU Related Ministries Network. This is an innovative and evolving organization that is filling a critical and much needed gap when it comes to supporting UU ministries that are not congregations.
The goal of the UU Related Ministries Network is to strengthen and support the operational capacities of UU-related ministries, particularly those with limited resources. These UU related ministries play an essential role in our faith community, serving over 25,000 UUs annually and significantly contributing to leadership development.
It has been my honor to convene and facilitate the first UUA General Assembly submission on behalf of the UU Related Ministries Network. In our panel presentation, I serve as moderator while representatives from some of our UU Related Ministries share their experience and wisdom around collaboration, peer support, and resource sharing.
Keep at eye our for our on-demand panel presentation titled: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗨𝗨-𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀.
Presentation participants and their UU related ministries are listed below:
Gretchen Ohmann - International Convocation of UU Women
Dan McKanan – Unitarian Universalist Studies Network (UUSN)
(Pablo) Pavel DeJesús - Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice (UUSJ)
Crystal Saiyge - UU Society for Community Ministries
Qiyamah Rahman - Sister Souurce, Inc
Ebony C. Peace (moderator) - Sunstone Chapel
