Happy Halloween!
We are living in frightening times. â ď¸
Despite this, I am deeply encouraged by the compassion and leadership of those I surround myself with. Today I served as a panel member during a âWomen in Business Breakfastâ event hosted at Tower Club Tysons in Virginia.
Prior to the panel, each attendee in the audience shared their holiday wish. Almost everyoneâs holiday wish centered on peace, paying it forward, and growth for all.
My experience this morning reminded me of two of my favorite quotes:
đ đ´ đ đĄđđđđđđâđ đđđđđđ đ đđđ đđđ đđđđ đ đ¤đđđđ đđ đđđđđđđđđđ. - Oprah Winfrey
đ đżđđŁđ đđđ đđđđđđ đ đđđ đđđ đđđđđ đ đđĄđđđ , đđđĄ đđ˘đĽđ˘đđđđ . đđđĄâđđ˘đĄ đĄâđđ, âđ˘đđđđđĄđŚ đđđđđđĄ đ đ˘đđŁđđŁđ. - Dalai Lama
My wish for today and beyond is that we each devote ourselves to doing even more to make the lives of others better.
Why? Because since January, many of our of neighbors and friends have experienced a detrimental (and preventable) decline in their quality of life, job security, emotional safety, physical safety, and now, food security â to name a few.
Mentor someone. Donate to a food bank. Give an extra offering to your faith community. Volunteer for a cause that matters to you. Speak up, and not over those youâre aiming to support.
While we must wait for The Powers That Be to make whatever decisions theyâre going to makeâŚthis should not stop đđ from making our đźđđť decision to be the blessing someone is praying for.
Wishing you a lovely Halloween! đ đ
